Rock with Me

YSL's fashionable new scent, Elle, hits all the right notes.

Killer heels, sexy tuxedo jacket and cigarette pants, tons of attitude-hands up who wants to be model Coco Rocha in the ad for YSL's new fragrance, Elle. I'm not sure whether it's her outfit (YSL, of course), her I-mean-business look or the way she uses the perfume bottle like a graffiti artist to spell the word Elle out in the air, but there's something about her gutsy demeanour that makes you want to get a bottle of the fragrance immediately.

I love YSL's perfumes, but I've never made one my signature scent. Paris? Too pretty. Opium? Too daring. Cinéma? Too sophisticated. But Elle has got all the right ingredients to make it my new favorite fragrance.

From the band that provides the thumping soundtrack to the TV ad-trendy New York City-based rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs-to the scent itself-an individual blend of fresh, peppery notes with a hint of woody masculinity as it develops on your skin-it's the kind of edgy fragrance that a generation of sassy, sexy 20-somethings has been waiting for.

If you want to check out the ad, visit the brilliant, interactive website at ysl-elle.com but before you do any of that, try out the scent-it might become your favorite fragrance too.
